Washington, DC—Today, U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) released the following information for the restoration of Laredo’s water supply.

“The attached links provide opportunities for our city to apply for federal funding.  I am committed to helping the City of Laredo restore the water supply to allow our community access to clean drinking water,” said Congressman Cuellar.  “My team remains ready to help all residents and public officials. I have been working directly with Mayor Pete Saenz and State Representative Richard Raymond to resolve this issue. I look forward to meeting next week to discuss all avenues of federal funding to address this issue for the City of Laredo.”

  1. Federal grant funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act through the Texas Water Development Board’s State Revolving Funds. These federal funds provide low-cost financial assistance for planning, acquisition, design, and construction of water infrastructure. Applications are open year-round.

    2.  American Rescue Plan funds can also be used for water infrastructure.

      3.  Bureau of Reclamation federal funding opportunity that opened today for the WaterSMART Small-Scale Water Efficiency Projects program.
