Congressman Henry Cuellar supports Obama's decision to fill empty seat (video link below) 

After the death of Supreme Court justice, Antonin Scalia, a lot of controversy has surrounded President Obama's power to nominate a new U.S. Supreme Court justice.

U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar says he supports Obama's right to fill the empty seat.

He says he expects the Republican majority will try to delay the process in the hope that a Republican will win the White House.

Cuellar fears that in the meantime the Supreme Court’s four to four decisions will leave lower court cases standing, placing four Texas cases on hold.

Currently, Texas has cases dealing with abortion, immigration, redistricting and affirmative action policy, in the process of being heard by the Supreme Court.
