Rep. Cuellar Announces $26,740,074 for Affordable Housing and Community Development in Bexar County

Today, U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar, Ph.D. (TX-28) announced $26,740,074 in federal funding for the City of San Antonio and Bexar County to expand affordable housing and community development opportunities to spur economic growth. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). “Today, I am pleased to announce over $26 million in federal grant funding for the City of San Antonio and Bexar County,” said Dr. Cuellar, a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee. “This funding will allow the city and county to increase access to affordable housing units that will help support homeowners and renters alike. This funding will also allow the city to invest in additional community development projects, spurring economic growth and improving the quality of life for all South Texans.” Funding comes from the following grant programs:
