  • Benavides Community Center;
  • Freer Community Center;
  • Concepcion Community Center; and,
  • Realitos Community Center.

“Community centers are more than just buildings – they are the heart of our rural communities. I secured this Congressionally directed funding to renovate Duval County’s 35-year-old community centers and provide its residents with proper facilities to enjoy community events,” said Congressman Cuellar, a Senior Member of the House Appropriations Committee. “Community centers play a pivotal role in serving as places where people can connect, learn, and grow together, especially in Duval County. Thank you to Duval County Judge Arnoldo Cantu and County Commissioners Pete Guerra, Adalberto Vera, Marla Garza, and Marty Perez for working with me to secure this federal funding and renovate our community centers. In Congress, I will continue to fight for Duval County.”

“On behalf of Duval County, I cannot begin to express our gratitude to Congressman Cuellar for earmarking this money for us. I can assure you this money will be put to great use in helping to do much needed upgrades in the Community Centers county-wide,” said Duval County Judge Arnoldo Cantu. “Duval County is very fortunate to have such a great, caring Congressman, always looking out for his constituents. Thank you again, Congressman Cuellar! Many blessings to you!”
