Laredo, TX – Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) issued the following statement regarding the extension of non-essential travel restrictions between the US-Mexico-Canada borders: “The coronavirus still remains a threat to both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. However, we can safely open up by taking the necessary precautions such as taking temperature checks, making sure each person is wearing a mask, and practicing social distancing at all border crossings.” “To strengthen our local economy, we must allow visitors from across the border to buy at our stores, go to our restaurants and stay at our hotels.” |
