KGNS VIDEO: Department of Homeland Security releases search & rescue report

The Department of Homeland Security has released the report on its search and rescue efforts.
The report includes the causes of death of migrants attempting to cross the border. The office of Congressman Henry Cuellar says they have been pushing the department to prepare the report. Cuellar says the report allows them to both acknowledge their heroic efforts and identify where they can improve. In the Rio Grande Sector, over 1,300 rescues were made and 68 deaths were documented in the report. |
