(My Fox Austin) Debate over border crisis continuesThe debate over what to do about the border crisis continues. Texas Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar is back in Washington after a bipartisan trip to meet with Central American leaders about the immigration problem. He's not completely onboard with President Obama's nearly $4 billion emergency funding bill. It would be used to build facilities to house children and families, increase border patrol security With more than 57,000 unaccompanied children having crossed into the U.S. illegally since October, Cuellar agrees some money Rep. Cuellar says, “Border security is not cheap. We spend $18 billion a year on border security and we can keep playing defense on the one yard line or we can be smarter and work on 20 yard line with other countries." "We somehow need enough money to address the needs at least under this emergency and enough policy changes to stem tide of humanity that is coming in," Cuellar adds. Cuellar and Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) will introduce a bill tomorrow to address the crisis.
