Starting on Wednesday, March 26th through Saturday, March 29th, the Office of Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX28) will co-host a STEM Alliance event with Texas A&M International University. The event hopes to target local Hispanic and female students as they are underrepresented in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. “As students begin to consider what career path to choose, I encourage them to attend the STEM event and explore their options. It is important to provide increased support and learning opportunities so students are able to graduate and compete in a globally competitive workforce,” said Congressman Cuellar. “I am glad to see that my office was able to coordinate with TAMIU and host an important event that brings awareness to the students about a possible STEM career.” What: Congressman Cuellar’s Office and TAMIU Co-host STEM Alliance Event Date: Wednesday, March 26, 2013 – Saturday, March 29, 2013 Time: 3/26 @ 12-4pm 3/27 @ 9:15am -6:30pm 3/28 @ 9:15am-2:15pm 3/29 @ 8am-4pm Where: Texas A&M International University
