WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Henry Cuellar, Ph.D. (TX-28), proudly announced Roma Ibarra and Aaliyah Molina as the winners of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge for Texas’s 28th District. Roma and Aaliyah, both sophomores at Hebbronville High School, earned first place with their innovative app, Space Navigator. This space-themed platformer game challenges users to overcome level-based obstacles as they advance through an exciting, immersive adventure. Congratulations to Roma and Aaliyah for their creativity and hard work! “Congratulations to Roma Ibarra and Aaliyah Molina from Hebbronville High School for winning 1st place in TX-28’s Congressional App Challenge! The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is an annual competition held in congressional districts nationwide, designed to encourage middle and high school students to develop coding skills and spark interest in careers in computer science.
