Today, Congressman Henry Cuellar, Ph.D. (TX-28) announced $144,000 in federal funding for Pleasanton Municipal Airport. “This funding will be integral in promoting a more safe, efficient, and productive Pleasanton Municipal Airport,” said Dr. Cuellar, a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee. “I am proud to have helped secure this extremely important funding. I will continue to fight for our community’s infrastructure, and ensure that it receives the funding it needs to thrive.” Congressman Cuellar secured $144,000 through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Airport Infrastructure Grant Program. That money will be used to purchase new land to expand the Pleasanton Airport. Congressman Cuellar previously helped secure $145,000 from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for Pleasanton Airport in FY 23. He also helped secure $159,000 for the airport in FY22 through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. In 2023, the airport received $600,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration’s State Block Grant Program to install a new fuel farm. The new land expansion will allow more personal and commercial aircraft to arrive at the airport, benefiting surrounding communities. ### |
