Rep. Cuellar Hosts Webinar on Funding Opportunities for Law Enforcement

Today, Congressman Henry Cuellar, Ph.D. (TX-28) hosted an informational webinar on funding opportunities for law enforcement. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Office and Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture discussed a range of opportunities for eligible entities, including:
A Q&A period followed the agencies’ presentations. “Law enforcement officers are the first to put their lives on the line. Today’s webinar showcased the many federal opportunities available to them, ensuring law and order are upheld in South Texas,” said Dr. Cuellar, a Senior Member of the House Appropriations Committee. “I stand with the men and women in blue, and I will continue to provide local law enforcement with the proper equipment, resources, and training needed to keep our communities safe.
