Today, U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar, Ph.D. (TX-28) hosted a webinar on funding opportunities for street infrastructure. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) discussed a wide range of current and future funding opportunities for eligible entities. These opportunities were made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, a law Dr. Cuellar helped pass in 2021.

“One of my priorities in Congress is to improve our economy and quality of life by attracting more federal funds to our region. Today, we heard from the U.S. Department of Transportation and TxDOT about the great resources they have to offer urban and rural communities in South Texas,” said Dr. Cuellar. “I helped pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to improve our transportation infrastructure and keep South Texas moving. We’re seeing the results of that today. Thank you to Scott Goldstein of the U.S. Department of Transportation and Robin Ayers of TxDOT for taking the time to share opportunities with the communities of the 28^th Congressional District of Texas.
