Washington, DC— Today, U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) issued the following statement on the start of the 2022 ACA open enrollment period, which begins today and runs through January 15, 2022:

“The Affordable Care Act provides health care access for millions of Americans," said Congressman Cuellar. "I urge all of my constituents to enroll and make sure they have adequate healthcare coverage. With the continued public health crisis and other ongoing individual medical concerns, access to health care is more critical than ever. Congress passed the American Rescue Plan this year,  expanding the Affordable Care Act to provide coverage so 80% of families pay less than $10 a month. We are also working in Congress on the Build Back Better Plan, the most significant affordable health care expansion in a decade. I will work relentlessly until everyone in my district has access to the health care they need."
