Washington | Charlotte Laracy, DC Press Secretary (202-226-1583); Alexis Torres, District Press Secretary (956-286-6007), April 27, 2020

Laredo, TX – Today, Monday April 27, at 10:30 AM, the Small Business Administration (SBA) resumed accepting Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) applications from participating lenders.

Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) released the following statement regarding SBA’s resumption of accepting PPP applications.

“Small business owners across my district, the state of Texas, and the nation are concerned about how they will remain financially afloat during the coronavirus pandemic,” said Congressman Cuellar. “When Congress passed the interim emergency package last week, we passed $310 billion in federal funding to replenish the Paycheck Protection Program. With today’s resumption of accepting Paycheck Protection Program applications from participating lenders, SBA is back on track to help the many hardworking Americans struggling to make ends meet.”

“If you are interested in applying, as well as finding an eligible lender in your area, I urge you to visit SBA’s website at www.sba.gov.”
