Laredo, TX- Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) released the following statement regarding the introduction of the interim emergency funding package.
“It is critical we continue to act swiftly as our country is facing this health and economic crisis,” said Congressman Cuellar. “During this time of stress and uncertainty, every American needs to know that their government is there to support them without hesitation. This new stimulus package prioritizes relief for small businesses, including additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program, which will help businesses stay afloat and prepare to reopen. This legislation will also provide funding to our hospitals who are on the front lines of this crisis.”
“I will vote for this legislation on behalf of the American people to ensure our hospitals in both rural and urbans areas as well as our small businesses have the resources they need today and throughout this unprecedented crisis.
