KVEO: Cuellar on migrant reimbursements

Posted:  / Updated: RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – Local organizations will soon be able to apply for humanitarian reimbursements.

In a phone conference, Tuesday, Congressman Henry Cuellar said he has secured $30 million to reimburse organizations and governments providing relief and shelter to families and children crossing the border.

During the first round of applications, the city of McAllen was reimbursed over $109,000 for migrant care expenses.

The second round of applications will be opening on February 17th and closing March 16th.
