KGNS: Former US President Bill Clinton visiting Laredo

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton will be visiting Laredo this week. The politics website politico reports, Bill Clinton will be attending a private fundraiser event this Friday in Laredo. The event is to raise money for his wife's campaign. And it will be hosted by congressman Henry Cuellar, who has publicly endorsed Hillary Clinton. The chairman for the Webb County Democratic Party says, he is hoping the presidential candidate makes her second stop in Laredo soon. "We have been talking with the members of the Clinton campaign with the help of Congressman Cuellar and several other officials who are representing her as well as representative Raymond we are hoping in the next couple of months maybe either President Clinton or Secretary Clinton might come for a public event where we can hear what she has to offer", said Alberto Torres. Back in 2008 secretary Clinton visited Laredo for the first time as a candidate for the presidential race. |
