Following controversial comments on illegal immigration, Donald Trump is making his way to South Texas.

The republican presidential candidate will be in Laredo tomorrow, Thursday, July 23 as part of his Texas-México border tour. Trump will address media and members of law enforcement including Border Patrol, ICE, Laredo PD and DEA. A FOX 2 news crew will also be in attendance. We’ll bring you the latest, tomorrow night.

Texas Congressman, Henry Cuellar has released a statement regarding Trump’s visit.

Cuellar’s statement reads in part: “Oftentimes people who have never been to the border are the first ones to speak badly of it…. [Donald Trump’s] visit should serve as an opportunity to better understand the dynamic of our culturally-rich and safe border community…” He adds, “The border is a safe place, ideal for business and family… It is much safer than many other cities across the United States, including even our Nation’s Capital.”
