With recent weather fluctuating between warm Summer like conditions, to rainy Winter conditions within a span of a few hours, Congressman Henry Cuellar hopes residents keep in mind that home weatherization aid is available to qualifying Starr County residents.

“If anybody has any questions about [home weatherization assistance] please call my office in Rio Grande City, and we’ll be happy to provide information, because the weather has been changing,” said Cuellar. “The number for the office is 956-487-5603.”

A home weatherization assistance workshop was held in Starr County late last year, and Cuellar suggests future workshops may be forthcoming. “We would like to do another [workshop], especially with this peculiar weather with temperatures going up and down, wind and no wind, rain and no rain; we certainly want to be helpful.”
