It’s been over three years since President Obama and then-President Calderon agreed on the need to finalize a binational agreement such as this, which now needs to be ratified by Congress,” said Congressman Cuellar. “Exploration and production of oil and gas is vital to our economic growth and national security. This agreement promotes the sharing of reservoirs shared by both nations while strengthening economic ties between the two countries and protecting the environment.” |
