Congressional Report
Representative Henry Cuellar
Congressional Report Dear Friend,Election Day is less than a week away, and early voting is underway in Texas, so it’s critically important that we all know how to make our voices heard. The Election Assistance Commission, a comprehensive, non-partisan resource, has importnat information on voting in Texas, including where people can early vote and contact information if you have any questions. It's not too late to participate in your democracy! This week, I traveled throughout our community to deliver several federal grants, and check-in with local businesses as well as local leaders. In addition, the Texas Farm Bureau awarded me the highest award the organization bestows, the Texas Farm Bureau Distinguished Service Award. I was recognized for my work and efforts on international trade that benefits all of Texas agriculture, such as helping pass the USMCA. As always, I encourage you to continue to contacting my office or connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Stay safe. Stay strong. Wear a mask.

On Thursday, Oct. 22nd, I was honored to receive the Texas Farm Bureau Distinguished Service Award. This award is given to individuals who have devoted their careers to serving the national interest of American agriculture and is the highest honor the organization can bestow. As a senior member of the Agriculture Subcommittee on Appropriations, I will continue to be a champion for agriculture and fight for policies that support and protect farmers and ranchers. Thank you to the Texas Farm Bureau for this prestigious recognition and for their dedication to Texas farmers and ranchers.

On this week's intern spotlight, meet Angela M. Cantu. Angela is a junior at UTRGV, studying political science, and currently interning at my Mission office. Throughout her internship, she has been a major help in working with constituents. Her most rewarding experience was meeting like-minded individuals, who are interested and invested in politics. When she's not interning or studying, you can find Angela reading in her free time - specifically classic literature. Thank you Angela for all the great work you're doing for TX-28.
