LCC South Campus 10th Anniversary

Rep. Cuellar joins nursing students at Laredo Community College to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of its South Campus. This campus continues to educate young people in our District as well as create jobs.

Congratulations to Laredo Community College for the 10-year anniversary of its South Campus! Community colleges like LCC provide accessible, affordable, and quality education options to students. As an alumnus of LCC, I was pleased to join the community this weekend to congratulate the College and discuss the need for continued investment in community colleges.
Eagle Ford Shale Consortium Address

This past week, I had the opportunity to speak at the 3rd Annual Eagle Ford Shale Consortium Conference. We discussed the economic impact of the shale oil boom in South Texas. It was a pleasure to share the stage with Mayor Julián Castro and discuss the future of energy in our District.

Conservation in the Rio Grande Valley
My outreach coordinator for Hidalgo County, Nichole Hernandez, discussed the importance of conservation efforts with community organizations in the Mission area.

The Mission community came out in support of conservation efforts in the Rio Grande Valley last week My outreach coordinator for Hidalgo County, Nichole Hernandez, joined the National Butterfly Center, Mission Chamber of Commerce, Customs and Border Protection, and the City of Mission to discuss the importance of conversation efforts in our local communities.

New Online Resource for Veterans Now Open
Starting this week, every single service member, every veteran, and every military family will have access to a new online Employment Center developed by the Department of Veterans Affairs connecting service members with job opportunities.
The website can be found here. Feel free to take a look at the opportunities available and share with veterans you think may be interested.
