Congressional Report

Dear Friends,

In Washington, DC I voted for the "PFAs Action Act" which protects Americans from drinking water that contains dangerous chemicals. I also voted for the "Secure 5G and Beyond Act", which will ensure that the U.S. sets standards for the 5G network and remains a world leader in hi-tech research and development.

In the district, my staff participated in several events and meetings, including the presentation of congressional certificates to the Laredo Fire Department Graduating Class, attending Neighborhood Office Hours, and presenting Library of Congress books in Wilson County.

I have also included a PSA video from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security with useful information in regards to reporting suspicious behavior and/or situations to local authorities.

As always, please contact one of my offices if you need assistance with any federal agency.

Get Involved With The 2020 Census

Once every 10 years, the Census Bureau counts each resident in the United States. This is no easy feat and it takes the support of thousands of people. The Census is hiring in our district and looking to fill various positions, such as clerks, recruiting assistants, office operations supervisors, census field supervisors and census takers. If you’re interested in being a part of something critical to our nation, check out all the job listing for the 2020 Census here.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security: "Protect Your Every Day"

It's important to stay alert of your surroundings, especially when you're in an unknown area.

This video from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security reminds us that it is important to reach out to local authorities whenever you notice suspicious behavior or actions, even in our every day lives.
