Congressional Report

Dear Friends,

In Washington, D.C., I met with authorities from the Emergency Food and Shelter Program to discuss how federal grants will help aid the many homeless and hungry people in America.  I also helped pass the Protecting America's Wilderness Act, a bill that protects millions of acres of land in northwestern U.S. so that it remains beautiful for years to come.

In the district, I was proud to present Texas A&M International University a federal grant to help boost their STEM program for underserved and minority students.

My staff also participated in several events and meetings, including presenting the Gonzales family with a Congressional Certificate of Recognition for opening their new Farmer's Insurance Agency in Converse, and attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Starr County Precinct office in Rio Grande City.

I have also included a video from the U.S. Census Bureau ensuring that the data you provide in the 2020 census is safe and will not be shared with any other agency or organization.

As always, please contact one of my offices if you need assistance with any federal agency.

On Friday, February 14, I held a press conference in San Antonio, to speak about the $26 million federal reimbursement I helped secure for the Mission Reach Project. I was also able to take a tour of a section of San Pedro Creek and see how the money is being used. Pictured is Rep. Cuellar with members from the San Antonio River Authority.

Lots of Love at the Windcrest Senior Resource Fair
