Congressional Report

Dear Friends,

In Washington, D.C., I met with local San Antonio leaders and elected-officials, to talk about how federal and local government can work together to assist our constituents. I also helped pass the PAWS for Veterans Therapy Act; a bill I served as cosponsor. This will help veterans struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder find comfort in working with therapy dogs.

In the district, I attended the South Laredo Car Show & Pet Adoption event, where I met with constituents, saw nice cars and even nicer dogs.

My staff also participated in several events and meetings, including the Elderly Winter Crime Prevention Fair, La Joya Senior Citizens Center meeting, and presenting Roma ISD with a Congressional Certificate of Recognition.

I have also included a video from the U.S. Census Bureau ensuring that the data you provide in the 2020 census is safe and will not be shared with any other agency or organization.

As always, please contact one of my offices if you need assistance with any federal agency.

The national nonprofit, Project Tomorrow, awarded Roma ISD as a District of Honor in their 2019-2020 National Speak Up District Program.
