Congressional Report

Dear Friends,

In Washington, DC, I voted for the Comprehensive Credit Rating Enhancement, Disclosure, Innovation, and Transparency (CREDIT) Act, which creates transparency over the reporting and credit scoring process, limit negative reporting of private student loan debt, and increases accountability of reporting agencies and the creditors and lenders who provide them information. I also voted for the Never Again Education Act, which supports the expansion of Holocaust education programs and resources.

In the district, I attended a series of events, including the Texas Citrus Fiesta, a press conference announcing federal funding for the Laredo Police Department and Webb County Sheriff's Office. I also held an event that revealed the partnership between the U.S. Army and Laredo Hospitals.

My staff also participated in several events and meetings, including grand-openings, community health fairs, and presenting books from the Library of Congress.

I have also included a video from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention about how to protect yourself during flu-season.

As always, please contact one of my offices if you need assistance with any federal agency.
