Congressman Cuellar rejects salary during shutdown

Congressman Henry Cuellar says he is standing with the hundreds of thousands of federal employees across the country who are working without pay by rejecting a salary during the government shutdown.

As negotiations continue with President Donald Trump to put an end to the longest shutdown in history, Congressman Cuellar says he'll stand by the many workers who are unable to receive a paycheck.

Cuellar says he's not the only member of Congress to reject pay during this time.

He says this is something he's done in the past and will continue to do if another shutdown were to arise.
