My Visit with Daniel Marin from the Rio Grande Valley

I was happy to meet with Daniel Marin, a student at Rice University who is originally from San Antonio and grew up across the Rio Grande Valley.  We discussed his plans for the future and his experience as a Texan in Washington, DC.  He is currently completing a summer internship in Washington, D.C. at the National Science Foundation.  I always enjoy meeting with young, promising students.  I wish you the best of luck, Daniel, as you continue your studies!

Border Caucus Press Conference

On Thursday, I participated in a press conference with five of my colleagues, Representatives Grijalva, Gallego, O'Rourke, Vargas, and Vela.  Together, we are working to transform how Americans see the border region, an area we see as safe and full of opportunities for trade and commerce.

Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute

I was honored to provide opening remarks to the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute forum on "Competition and Innovation: How the Internet is Creating Opportunities for Latinos."  Online and technological innovation is vital to our economic success and I was pleased to present my views.

Congressman Cuellar addresses the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute Congressional Briefing, "Competition and Innovation: How the Internet is Creating Opportunities for Latinos."

Sincerely,

Congressman Henry Cuellar
