Energy and Oil officials come together for roundtable discussion

LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - U.S. and Mexican energy and oil officialscome togetherhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png to build our energy markets on both sides of the border.

The energyhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png and oil roundtable took place at TAMIU.

Officials signed a memorandum of understanding outlining a programhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png of cooperation for collaborative educational programs.

Those involved in the discussion exchanged views and projections on the north american energy market, as well as ways to increase U.S. and Mexico joint economichttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png growth, business opportunities and educational exchanges.

"It's very important because we are going to work togetherhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png to improve the services that the cluster may be doing in the future so for the students and for the business people of the community this is very important", said Luis Perez Benitez.

Six universities signed an agreement to exchange students, along with faculty and administrators to learn about technologyhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png in oil and gas.
