Congressional Report

Dear Friends,

This past week, I visited with constituents and leaders in Bexar, Atascosa, Webb and Hidalgo Counties to discuss a variety of issues.

In San Antonio, I visited with the University of Texas Health Science Center President William L. Henrich during a tour of the new teaching facilities. I also recognized four students at both Judson Early College Academy and Randolph High School who were accepted into one of our four national service academies.

In Poteet, I attended the annual Strawberry Festival Parade, where I met with fellow constituents.

In Laredo, I met with U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector Chief Patrol Agent Mario Martinez at headquarters in Laredo to discuss issues regarding border security for the area covering Laredo to Brownsville.

In Mission, I met with constituents and media from around the Rio Grande Valley to provide a legislative update on border security and border infrastructure.

My staff in Washington and in the district met with constituents to provide tours and discuss legislative issues.

Lastly, I provide you with a spotlight of one of my interns in the district and some useful information from the Federal Trade Commission about ways to go about paying your auto loan.

Next week I will be back in Washington, continuing to support and advocate for the 28th District.
