Millions of Americans are inspired to take part in philanthropy, education, and charitable missions by their religious beliefs.  My own faith has inspired and guided me throughout my political career.  I believe that people of faith should have the right to take part in public life without fear of discrimination and that faith-based organizations should have the same rights as secular organizations.  I also have supported faith-based organizations that provide financial counseling, health care services, and educational services. Faith can be an enormous force for good in our society, and I will continue to work to enact legislation that recognizes that fact.
